Axel can be found sitting near the fire, a mug of something steaming in his hand, and a contented (see also: cat that got the canary) look on his face.

If you're inclined to such things, you might notice the fire chattering cheerfully at him. If you're not, you might just notice that it's a little brighter, and a little warmer than usual.

One of the bar's numerous Johnnys comes down the stairs, glancing around the room. He settles at the bar and gets dinner.

Once finished, he lights up a cigarette and looks around at the crowd.
